Chef Srijith "Sri" Gopinathan brings an accomplished culinary background and a passion for innovative cuisine to The Oxford Kitchen & Gastropub.

Beginning in 2008, Chef Sri led the kitchen at San Francisco's renowned Taj Campton Place, where his culinary leadership earned two Michelin stars and recognition from the San Francisco Chronicle.

A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, Chef Sri further developed his culinary expertise through experience in European kitchens, bringing together classical techniques and contemporary global influences. He is also Chef and Co-Owner of Ettan in Palo Alto, Copra in San Francisco, and Eylan in Menlo Park, CA.

At The Oxford, Chef Sri brings his fine-dining experience into a more approachable gastropub setting. His culinary philosophy blends British traditions, global flavors, and California's seasonal ingredients to create dishes that are both familiar and distinctive.

The Vision Behind The Oxford Kitchen & Gastropub

For founder Narender "Neil" Ramarapu, The Oxford Kitchen & Gastropub represents a passion for food, hospitality, and bringing people together.

Before entering the restaurant industry, Mr. Ramarapu built a successful career as a technology entrepreneur and professor, founding and several technology companies. Following the acquisition of Wintec Software Corporation, he decided to pursue a longtime personal interest in restaurants and hospitality.

In 2016, Neil was instrumental in opening the first Oxford Kitchen & Gastropub in downtown Sunnyvale, California. What began as a passion project grew into a neighborhood gathering place, known for its modern British-inspired cuisine, global flavors, creative cocktails, and welcoming hospitality.

Building on that experience, Neil helped bring The Oxford Kitchen & Gastropub to downtown Lodi in 2022, creating a restaurant that combines the spirit of the original Oxford with the agricultural richness and wine culture of the Lodi region.

His vision has always been to create more than a place to eat — a restaurant where guests can enjoy thoughtfully prepared food, discover new flavors, celebrate important moments, and feel genuinely welcomed.
